Renew your BRP to eVisa

Are you worried about your BRP expiry date?

Upgrade with Ease

Renew your BRP to eVisa with us!

Biometric Residence Permit Cards, more commonly known as BRP cards are being phased out at the end of 2024. To prove your immigration status after 31 December 2024, you must replace your BRP card with an eVisa. An eVisa ID is an electronic record that proves an individual’s immigration status and replaces the use of the BRP card.

Here are some of the key points that we think you need to note:

  1. BRP – All BRP cards expire on 31 December 2024 and will no longer be valid
  2. eVisa – Proving your immigration status from 2025 will require an eVisa
  3. Next Steps – You must create a UKVI account to access your eVisa before your BRP card expires

Your Questions – Our Answers

Why is my BRP card expiring on 31 December 2024?

Your BRP card is expiring on 31 December 2024 due to UK government changes requiring all BRP cards to expire by that date regardless of the actual visa end date.

How can I check my Right to Work after 31 December 2024?

If you are a British or Irish citizen, you can prove your right to work in the UK with your British/ Irish Passport. If you are not a British or Irish citizen, you can prove your right to work with either a share code through your UKVI account or using your Home Office grant letter.

Where can I find my Share Code after my BRP expires?

You can use the official GOV.UK to generate a share code to prove your immigration status, right to work and right to rent by logging on to your UKVI account or through your eVisa. Please note the share code will only be valid for 90 days. You will need to regenerate the share code again, should the need arise.
