The Syrian Civil War, which began in 2011, has displaced millions of families, forcing them to seek refuge in different countries. Our client’s parents and sister were granted refugee status in the UK after fleeing Syria. However, our client, who remained in Syria with her husband and three children, was later left vulnerable when her husband was conscripted for compulsory military service and never returned. Facing insecurity and hardship, she and her children fled to Lebanon, where ongoing political unrest made their situation increasingly difficult. The client sought to reunite with her family in the UK, applying under the family reunion route, requesting to be recognised as a dependent child of her parents, while her children applied as dependents of their grandparents. |

Undeterred, we immediately lodged an appeal, emphasising the life-threatening circumstances and the critical need for family support. |
